Dance Instructors

Adair has been involved in dance for the past seven years studying at local studios.  She also coaches a cheer team for the past several years, but has returned to her love… dance!   She has also taught at local preschools with K2 and was a VPK teacher for six years.  She LOVES children!!  When Adair is not teaching dance, she is busy being a wife and mother of five!

Ashley has been dancing for the past 13 years. She has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, gymnastics and clogging.  She was also a cast member in the Community Nutcracker through out her dance career. After high school, she continued her love of dancing through teaching. Where she taught dance with Little Dancing Stars and Dynamics Dance. In 2015, she put her dance career on hold and got married. She has now returned to teach dance with us while she attends UF pursing a BA degree. 

Courtney began dancing several years ago.  She loves children and is at her happiest when she is combining dance with small children!!   Courtney has a passion for ballet.  When Courtney is not dancing, she is pursuing a double major at UNF and spending time with her husband. 

Megan  began dancing at the age of three at the Betty Sullivan Theatre of Dance.  She started teaching ages 3 to 6 year olds as a teenager.   She continued taking dance classes into her adult life… and then she had twin girls!!  Now she enjoys spreading her love of dance to our little dancers!  Her favorite type of dance is tap!   When Megan is not dancing with us, she enjoys time with her family and twin girls!   

Melissa began her dancing at age four in south Florida at the Riverdale Dance Academy until her family relocated to north Florida in 1980 where she continued dancing at the Bean School of Dance.  She received her training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Gymnastics.  Melissa was offered to be the lead choreographer for “Your Stars on Stage” for Dancing Little Stars dance company in Virginia.  Melissa then went on to begin her own dance company in the greater Jacksonville area.  Melissa has co-written a new curriculum for teaching tap and ballet for the preschool age.  Her curriculum’s method is “learning the art of dance through fun, while also teaching both dance techniques and its terminology”.  When Melissa is not working with Little Dancing Stars… she is being a wife and a mother to twins, Ashley and Kaitlyn!

Shakarah  aka Kara has been dancing for sixteen years, having studied dance at Barbara Thompsons School of Dance and graduating from Douglas Anderson School of Arts as a Dance Major. She has studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, African, acro, and musical theatre.  Her favorite styles are Jazz and Musical theatre!  She has performed in several community nutcrackers and  has participated in summer musicals such as FAME the musical!   When she is not dancing, Kara is obtaining a degree at a local college.   

All of the above personnel, have been fingerprinted by local, FDLE and FBI with no records.  Your school has a copy of those results.   This is in accordance with the Florida Department of Children and Welfare.
