WHAT: Your child's dance recital will be held at a high school on Saturday, June 6, 2009. Your child will participate in a ballet OR a tap routine (that information is provided in your costume packet mailed at the end of November). The recital should last about one hour.
WHERE: The auditorium of a local high school located at Sandalwood High School. Please note that food, drinks nor smoking are allowed within the school area. Directions: From I-295, take SR-9A on the left, merge onto FL-9A N, merge onto US-90 W/Beach Boulevard/FL-212 W toward FCCJ South Campus, turn right onto St. Johns Bluff Road, turn right onto Alden Road, turn right onto John Prom Boulevard. It is approximately 16 miles from the I-295/I-95 interchange. Look for our Little Dancing Stars recital signs!
COSTUME: Your child's costume will be delivered to his/her preschool by mid-May (if ordered on time). Delivery is upon receipt of May's tuition and/or any other balance outstanding with your individual dance account.
REHEARSAL: A dress rehearsal will take place the morning of the recital. Your dancer should arrive for dress rehearsal in his/her costume and shoes, hair done as instructed with costume delivery. Make-up is optional. Reserve at least one hour for dress rehearsal. Bring your cameras! Photos and video taping are PERMITTED during the dress rehearsal ONLY.
PHOTOS: Michael Smalley Photography will be on sight the morning of the recital. You are requested to stay for the group photo after rehearsal is completed, even if you are not ordering photos. Then individual photos will be taken after your school's group photos are completed. They can be reached for questions at (904) 292-2337 or (904) 860-5990.
VIDEO/DVD: A professional video company will be capturing our special day. Personal recording devices will NOT be allowed during the recital, only during rehearsal. If recording is done during the recital, you will be asked to leave the building. Pre-order information will be provided in the Spring in your recital packet.
FLOWERS: Spring bouquests can be given to your child after his/her performance. Pre-order information will be provided in the Spring in your recital packet. Cash will be required to purchase bouquets the day of the recital.
RECITAL: After your dancer's photo has been completed, you will have time to go out for lunch and/or a nap prior to returning back later that afternoon/early evening for the recital. Your dancer must report back to us completely dressed and ready to perform for you and your guests. All dancer's are to attempt going to the potty prior to being left with us.
RECITAL FEE: There is a $25.00 recital fee due with your March tuition payment. We do NOT sell tickets.
